Computer Donation Boosted STEM and Literacy Education in Ga South Municipality

In a remarkable endeavor to enhance education, our computer donation team made a significant stop in the Ga South Municipality, specifically at the Bortianor and Aplaku Basic Schools. With a commitment to fostering effective teaching and learning, 20 computers and accessories were donated to support STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), AI (Artificial Intelligence), computing, and the science of reading.

Following the donation, comprehensive training sessions were conducted for English, STEM, and ICT teachers, along with language coordinators. The focus was on integrating science of reading methodologies into the curriculum, ensuring a holistic approach to literacy education. This training was made possible through a partnership between Bountiful Technologies Ltd and Reading Horizons, leveraging both local and international expertise.

Gratitude is extended to the individuals and organizations whose support made this initiative possible. Special thanks to Tyson Smith and Angie Smith, Selina Appiah, Frank Manu of Bountiful Technologies Ltd, Ruth Mensah, Special Project Lead at Bountiful Technologies Ltd, Jim Laudie, Director of Donors and External Relationships at Bountiful STEM Educational Foundation, and the Director of Evaluation and Supervision at Ga South Municipality, Ghana Education Service Directorate. Acknowledgment is also due to all heads of schools and their selected teachers for their dedication to advancing education in the municipality.

This collaborative effort stands as a testament to the power of partnerships in driving positive change in education. By equipping schools with essential resources and providing targeted training, educators were empowered, and students inspired to reach their full potential. Ultimately, this initiative contributes to the development of a skilled workforce and a brighter future for Ga South Municipality and beyond.
